Yelp MCP

Yelp MCP helps users find and compare local services, restaurants, and nearby businesses based on what they need and where they are searching.

Yelp MCP currently supports Claude as its MCP client.

What you can do

Find local businesses

Search Yelp by:

City, neighborhood, address, ZIP code, or coordinates
Business type, service, cuisine, or other short keywords
Whether the business is open now

Search results are shown in an interactive Yelp experience. Results can include business names, photos, ratings, review counts, location context, Yelp badges, response times, and supported actions when available.

Request a quote

For eligible home and local service businesses, Yelp MCP can help you:

Choose a service.
Answer questions about the project.
Provide contact and project details.
Submit the request to the selected business.

Quote availability depends on the business and service area. Requesting a quote may require service details and contact information.

Open a business page

From search results, users can open a business page on Yelp to view more details, photos, reviews, hours, menus, and other available information.

Check restaurant availability

For supported restaurants, users can check reservation availability from search results and continue booking on Yelp.

If a search does not include a location, the supported MCP client may ask for one before searching.

Tools

The connector includes:

yelp_search_local_businesses: searches Yelp for nearby businesses and services.

The interactive Yelp experience also uses supporting tools to start a quote request, load project questions, check the customer account, and submit the completed request. These supporting tools are used by the interface rather than shown as standalone tools.

Data and privacy

Yelp MCP sends Yelp the information needed to complete your request, such as your search query, location, open-now preference, and, when you submit a quote request, the project details and contact information you provide.

Yelp uses this information to return search results and facilitate quote requests with participating businesses. For more information, see the Yelp Privacy Policy and Yelp Terms of Service.

A quote request is sent to the selected business only after you submit it.
Yelp does not guarantee that a business will respond or accept a request.
The connector is not intended for emergencies. Contact local emergency services when immediate assistance is required.
